In 1994, a Dutch TV crew showed up at the home of John Frusciante, guitarist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, to interview him at his home in Venice. What greeted the film crew was beyond horrific. John was little more than a skeleton, with sunken, staring eyes, long greasy hair and rotten teeth. John had been holed up for months doing heroin, shooting it into his veins until he appeared to be on the verge of death. His left hand was noticeably swollen to twice its size and covered in needle marks. He openly talked to the film crew about his drug use, claiming it was a "way to see the beauty in the world." Parts of this documentary were seen in VH1's Behind the Music Red Hot Chili Peppers. This DVD contains the FULL, UNCUT AND UNEDITED interview. THIS IS EXTREMELY RARE!! DVD quality is superb! This is a MUST HAVE for the Frusciante/RHCP fan. Or, for someone who wants to peek directly into the dark, dank world of heroin addiction.

Also included on this DVD are clips of interviews with Bob Forrest from Zanger obviously high and footage of him climbing a huge concert set up duting a live concert and people trying to get him down. River Phoenix interview is also included (who was dead 1 year when this was shot) and John is asked about River and Curt Korbains deaths.

Also on this DVD is the documentary "Stuff" done by Johnny Depp. Stuff is a frank documentary made by Depp about Frusciantes drug problems and how it controlled his life. (Johns house burned down shortly after this was made.) Stuff features Butthole Surfers singer Gibby Haynes. The film was shown on Dutch TV oringially, never shown in the US. It featured slow-motion film of the inside of his house, over-dubbed music and John reading some of his poetry. It also featured a cameo by LSD hero Timothy Leary and "flower-arrangement" (according to the end credits) by Jane's Addiction singer Perry Farrell.

Some of the voice over on this doc is in German, but it takes nothing away from the documentary, as in the voice overs mention so many English bands and words, you can almost tell what they are saying even if you don't speak German. All the interviews are in English with German subtitles.
